My youngest daughter is married to José who is Portuguese. They live in France but José has for some time wanted to show me his Portuguese village of which he is very proud. We recently visited it and while in Portugal José took us to many places of interest. One stood out for me - the caves at Mira de Aire. We descended something like 500 steps altogether experiencing the amazing underground formations which were spectacular. I could not resist acknowledging that the visual imagery was out of this world. It caused me to embark on a new batch of work immediately on my return to England and I have now been working on it since my return. It will keep me going for some time yet!
