KEAP Creative - Eva Hartley

Eva worked for three years with other KEAP Creative members in the inspirational 11th century Grade I listed St. Mary's Church, Woodhorn. She now works from home in her attic studio. Much of her own work continues to draw on the imagery and emotions experienced during the unique time spent in Woodhorn Church. Other sources of inspiration come from the sea and the community in which she lives and works and to which she has a strong attachment. She works mainly in oils or pastel and also produced an installation for KEAP's exhibition at Woodhorn Museum in 2009.
Eva believes firmly in art as a means of personal development, community engagement and regeneration and along with other KEAP Creative members continues to actively promote the arts in her home town of Newbiggin by the Sea.
