I am so thrilled that Helen Marten has been awarded the 2016 Turner Prize in addition to the inaugural Hepworth Sculpture Prize. I recognised her ability when she was taking GCSE Art with me way back and it was clear by the time she embarked on A level that she had an extremely creative mind and the ability to construct her ideas in a unique and personal way.
I don't think we have heard the last of her and I am looking forward to following her progress. Well done Helen!!
